To vote, you must firstly login into the SU website. Then, if you are not already an SU member of the Islamic Society, you must become a member by going to this link. After that, you will be able to vote in the ISoc elections by going to the voting section of the SU website

Election results will be announced at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 09/05/19 at 17:30 in University Place room 6.207


The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Society and is the Chairperson of the Board. The President is the spokesperson, representative and correspondent for the Society in external activities

Vice President Brother

Vice President Sister

Vice Presidents assume overall responsibility of the affairs of the male/female members and directors of the Society, shall perform all the duties of the President in the absence or inability or refusal to act of the President, and will assume secondary role of either the education or socials subcommittee.

Head of Publicity

The Head of Publicity is in charge of general publicity of the society including media engagement.

Head of Student Affairs

The Head of Student Affairs shall be vested with the power to deal with all political engagement within the Student Union and the University.

General Secretary


Eemaan Memon

The Secretary shall give or cause to be given notices for all meetings of the board of directors or executive committee, as well take and distribute minutes of the meetings. The secretary will also be responsible to give primary approval for any events (including room bookings and speaker approval).

Head of Services

The Head of Services will be responsible to ensure that the general needs of Muslim students are catered for by the society. This includes, welfare, accommodation, prayer hall management, halal food provisions, as well as specific needs of International and Post-Graduate students.


The Treasurer shall have the care and custody of all the funds and securities of the Society.

Community Officer

The Community Officer will be responsible for any community outreach work the ISoc does. Will sit on the services sub-committee and report to the Head of Service.

Postgrad Officer

The Postgrad Officer will be responsible in ensuring that the ISoc is catering for the needs of Post-Graduate Muslim students. Will sit on the services sub-committee and report to the Head of Services.

The committee officers will be allocated specific roles and become responsible for organising social and educational events for Muslim students on campus.
