Al Marifah Foundation

Al Marifah foundation is an Islamic Educational Organisation based in Manchester. Their instructors work closely and regularly with UoM ISoc and they provide courses in a variety of islamic disciplines across several locations in the Manchester area. Some of their courses include the year long Islam 101 course, the Four Mathhabs as well as Hadith and Tafseer.

Pathway to closeness Course Overview

A structured programme studying core Islamic Sciences delivered by well-respected instructors with work booklets, assessments and interactive classes with Sheikh Anis, Sheikh Asad, Imam Abid, Ustadh Rehan and exclusive guest instructors.

This course focuses on attaining closeness to Allah (swt), His book and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

iSyllabus

iSyllabus aims to develop the next generation of active citizens and faith-inspired thought leaders in the West through transformative Islamic education programs. The courses they offer, provide students with a clear and authentic presentation of the Islamic faith, laying the groundwork for extensive lifelong learning. The result is an Islamic studies program that spans over three levels, with each level having a well defined educational outcome.

They offer one year diplomas for beginners (usually held at University Of Manchester), intermediate (two years), and advanced courses (two years).

EIIS - European Institute of Islamic Sciences

The European Institute of Islamic Sciences (EIIS) is a local organisation with the aim to implement a Quran-centric curriculum and create Islamic educational provision.

They offer regular Tajweed, Islamic studies and intensive arabic courses and qualifications for all levels. They’re based in Oldham and you can find more details on course start dates, curriculums and instructors by following the links.

Logical Progression

Attend Sh Abu Eesa’s weekly logical progression classes covering aspects of Fiqh every wednesday 8pm at Cheadle Mosque or stream and catch up on previous classes via the online portal (linked below)

OSAIS

OSAIS was established by Professor Sheikh Awadalla Youssef and is based in Old Trafford in Manchester.

The OSAIS syllabus includes the text and methods, based on that of Al-Azhar Institute, Egypt. ‘Ilm Al-Tajweed is the first course that students are encouraged to enrol onto, and is the precondition for access to other subjects. Students registered with a Student Teacher in the Foundation Tajweed Level, will be able to further study of Islamic subjects including Tajweed, ‘Aqeedat, Fiqh, Seerat, Hadeeth, Tafseer Al Qur’aan, Hayaat As Sahaabah (R) and Principles of Research in Islaam to name a few.

Al Furqan College

Alfurqan College is based in Manchester and specialises in Arabic language. It is a leading provider of Arabic language and Islamic studies to students over the age of 16.

Alfurqan College caters to the needs of Muslims in the UK and aims to produce students who are fluent in Arabic by teaching them reading, writing, speaking, and other tools that are necessary to study Arabic, such as nahw (grammar) and sarf (morphology).
